Our vineyard
We are located in the El Pomar area, east of Templeton. Our vineyard is at 1,100
ft. elevation, with cool nightly breezes from the Templeton gap. Four acres of our
ten acre property is planted in head-trained zinfandel. The remainder of the
property is native oak woodland and a seasonal creek.

Our grapes
Zinfandel (Primitivo clone 3) on 420A rootstock was our choice, based on the
soil, climate, and our love of zinfandel wine. The vines are 5 ft apart, with 9 ft
rows. We have trained the vines into tall, multi-layered heads for good sun
exposure and to make pruning, training, and harvesting easier on our backs.
